We have an extensive range of patterns available in most double roll crusher tooth profiles and for new segments we do not charge pattern cost.

Our segments are cast in industry standard grades of manganese steel as well as our in-house specifications developed for high wear applications found in opencast mining. Mechanical spares are cast in cast iron, cast steel and SG iron grades.

QUALITY CONTROL

• Foundry quality and production control system
• SPECTROMAXx – metal analysis and testing to certify correct material specifications
• Heat treatment and material certificates of all castings are kept for traceability

Each segments is quality checked and approved before shipped:

• Ground to ensure the segment seating face is smooth
• Pressed and checked with a jig to ensure it fits flush on the drum face
• Dimensions and bolt hole centres are verified

SEGMENT FITMENT SERVICES

Replacement of segments on site can be a time consuming process.
For clients that have spare drums we provide a service of removing worn segments and fitment of new segments
at our premises in Middelburg.
